Lighthouse Point Fire Rescue's mission is to provide the citizens, businesses, and visitors of Lighthouse Point the very best in Fire Rescue Services, to deliver the highest level of patient care, to offer quality public education in life safety services and fire prevention, and to protect the natural resources of our community in a courteous and professional manner.

Lighthouse Point Fire Rescue (LHPFR) was created in 1963 as a volunteer fire department. Not until October 1, 1972, did it become a professionally paid fire department for the City of Lighthouse Point.  Fire Rescue and Emergency Services are provided throughout Lighthouse Point including Venetian Isles, Lighthouse Manor, Wooler Heights, Coral Key, and Pompano Waterway Estates

The Department's well-trained and dedicated professionals respond to all calls for service, including both emergency and non-emergency situations.  Our primary services include extinguishment of all indoor and outdoor fires, fire prevention, Emergency Medical Patient Care, fire safety building inspections, structural plan reviews, fire investigations, disaster management, rescue, and hazardous materials initial response.  Protecting the safety and well-being of our community is our priority.
